PLEASE NOTE: When collecting your cake, you will need to have an empty space in a flat boot or footwell to transport your cake in. Once you have collected the order, all responsibility for the cake or cupcakes is passed onto the customer and I cannot be responsible for any damages in transit or dropped cakes etc. If transporting a tiered cake, great care must be taken whilst driving.
In the hot summer months an air conditioned vehicle is advised. Cakes/cupcakes are covered in buttercream, ganache and fondant which will melt if left in a hot car. After collection it is advised to go straight to your destination and remove the cake(s) from the car as soon as possible.
Upon arrival at your destination, the cake/cupcakes should be stored in a cool, dry place. They should NOT be stored in the fridge prior to your event unless told to.
I bake in a kitchen which is not allergen free so cakes may contain traces of milk, wheat, nuts, soya, and other allergens. Please ensure all recipients are aware of this information (an allergen label is provided with every order).
All photos of cakes are owned by The Baking Fairy and may be used on social media and websites.
Celebration cake orders require a 50% non refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due either upon collection or if paying by bank transfer, two days before collection.
Weddings are secured with £100 non refundable deposit. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least a month before the wedding date.
If you cancel for any reason, this will not be returned to you. If I am forced to cancel because I become ill or any other circumstance which I cannot control, you will be refunded in full. I will try my best to find a cake designer who can replace me and a full refund will be given.
Any changes to the agreed design of the cake will be at my discretion and subject to additional fees. The cut off for any changes is 6 weeks before the wedding.
